Looking back on my career, I have struggled for 39 years at CSCEC, witnessing the company’s growth and glory, transitioning from a young student to a technology veteran with slight industry influence, witnessing senior leaders and colleagues dedicating their lives to the development of the company, and paying attention to the young people who thrive and become talents in the company.
His rich life and work experience have contributed to his influence in the industry.
Looking back at my professional life, perhaps I can briefly summarize it with the following few sentences.
I have great joy and a bit of sadness.
From Wuhan to Kunming, from Kunming to Chongqing, and from Chongqing to Beijing; From schools to institutions, from institutions to enterprises; From headquarters to grassroots, returning from grassroots to headquarters; From home to abroad, and from abroad back to home; From technology to management, from management to integration of technology; From technical personnel to national level experts and industry leaders, from Chinese construction engineers to senior chartered construction engineers from the British royal family.
Wen/Mao Zhibing finally arrived at Mao’s thatched hut on the night of June 30, 2022, as scheduled.
I have always been unwilling to stop what I am doing, but now I still have to leave my company job, which is a natural law.
When I joined the company, China State Construction Corporation (CSCEC) had not yet been established.
I experienced a qualitative transformation from a government agency to an enterprise, a sublimation from “small to medium-sized construction” to “large to medium-sized construction”, and witnessed and participated in the company’s leapfrog development.
The honor of “China Construction Meritorious Employee” is the best recognition for me as a member of China Construction.
He is Mao Zhibing, the Chief Engineer of China State Construction Corporation Limited and the Chairman of the Editorial Committee of the Construction Technology Magazine.
Since joining China Construction in 1982, I have never left this respected company for 39 years.
In December 1977, in Kunming, the southwestern border of our country, as a local educated youth, I was fortunate enough to participate in the college entrance examination and was admitted to the Chongqing Institute of Architecture and Engineering (now Chongqing University).
From then on, I changed my fate and began my life in architecture.
Today marks a special moment to bid farewell to his career.
Years pass like songs and fingers, time like water never comes again.
Retired, let’s not say goodbye.
I can only say: retired, but we won’t say goodbye.
China Construction is broad, stable, and inclusive, which has shaped my architectural life.
Today, CSCEC has grown into a super large investment and construction group that ranks first in the world.
I strive for it, am proud of it, and am even more grateful for it
