Series “model text of International Engineering Subcontract”.
In September 2021, after deliberation by the industry rules committee of the Contractor’s chamber of Commerce, it was unanimously agreed to publish the above model contract text as an industry standard.
In order to standardize the subcontracting contracts between Chinese enterprises in international contracting projects, reasonably allocate risks and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the parties, the chamber of Commerce organized representatives of leading enterprises, authoritative experts, scholars and lawyers in the industry to establish a preparation committee and formulated the model text of international engineering subcontracting contracts (version 1 in 2019), Including five demonstration texts, including conditions of Construction Subcontract (applicable to unit price subcontract), conditions of Construction Subcontract (applicable to total price subcontract), conditions of installation subcontract, conditions of design subcontract and conditions of procurement contract, for Chinese general contracting engineering enterprises and Chinese subcontracting engineering construction enterprises, design consulting companies, installation engineering enterprises Equipment and material suppliers are used in international contracted projects.
