It has a total length of about 65 kilometers, two-way four lanes and a design speed of 120 kilometers per hour.

From east to west, it passes through six towns (districts and streets) including Binhai Port Economic Zone, Binhuai farm, Binhuai Town, Baju Town, Jiepai Town, kanbei street and Tianchang town.
The Binhai section of Binhuai expressway is provided with 2 hubs (G15 Binhai hub and S27 sets of hubs), 5 Interchanges (g228 Binhai port interchange, S226 Binhuai interchange, planned S226 boundary card interchange, G204 Binhai West interchange and s327 sets of Interchange), and 1 service area (Binhai North Service Area).

The project line starts from Binhai port area in the East and ends in Lianshui County, Huai’an City in the West.
The total length of the line is 16.75 km, which is an important part of Yancheng section of Binhuai expressway.

Bid section 2 of Binhuai Expressway contracted by China Railway Shanghai Engineering Bureau starts from the end of Binhuai interchange and ends before boundary card interchange.
It is reported that Yancheng section of Binhuai expressway is an important part of the “horizontal and four lines” (S18) in the “15 shooting, 6 vertical and 10 horizontal” of the Jiangsu Expressway Network Planning (2017-2035) approved by the provincial government.
