At about 23:20 on July 17, 2021, on the fifth floor of a main building project in Shenzhen, a worker with an electric trolley fell from the floor door of the construction lift to the top of the cage of the construction lift on the first floor of the basement, and died after rescue.
Accident cause analysis: The construction elevator is equipped with two doors, namely, cage door and landing door (the door leading to the cage can be closed on the landing), to ensure the safety of personnel and goods.
The bricklayer and plasterer working in this area is suspected to accelerate too fast and lose control when operating the electric trolley.
Before the incident, the door on the fifth floor above the left cage of the construction elevator on the first floor of the basement was in failure (it was preliminarily judged that the driver of the construction elevator did not close and lock it in time).
The electric trolley pushes the workers to fall from the door of the fifth floor to the top of the left cage of the construction elevator, causing the accident (the direct cause analysis conclusion is subject to the accident investigation report)…
