The water depth of the site ranges from 35-43 meters, and the center is 50-55 kilometers offshore.

The first and second projects of Yuedian Yangjiang Qingzhou are located in the sea area near Shapa Town, Yangxi County, Yangjiang, Guangdong Province.

A total of 92 domestically produced typhoon resistant offshore wind turbines with a single unit capacity of 11 megawatts will be arranged, along with the construction of one 500 kV offshore booster station and one onshore centralized control center.

This construction is mainly participated by more than ten main construction ships, such as “Baihetan”, “Wudongde”, “Zhenhua 30”, “Chuangli”, “Nengjian Guanghuo 002”, “Hailong Fengcai”, “Ouyang 005”, “Tiejian Fengdian 01”, and dozens of auxiliary construction ships, such as equipment transport ships, anchor boats, and transportation ships.

After the project is completed, it can provide 3.6 billion kilowatt hours of clean electricity to the power grid every year.

On July 24, 2023, the wind turbine and offshore booster station construction and installation project of Guangdong Yuedian Yangjiang Qingzhou Phase I Wind Farm Project was successfully completed, marking that the largest offshore wind power project in History of China’s history is about to enter a new stage.

The first phase of the project plans to have an installed capacity of 400 megawatts, and the second phase of the project plans to have an installed capacity of 600 megawatts.

Compared with coal-fired power plants of the same scale, it can save about 1.05 million tons of standard coal consumption and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 2.78 million tons per year.
